About Me
  • Herbert Addison grew up on the North side of Houston Texas. It is fact that he is the oldest of five boys raise by a single mother. Herbert’s mother, Qynne Addison, made sure to raise her children in the church, teaching them the word of God at an early age. Music was in the blood line of his family for years. Music started in his family with his grandfather Cecil Shaw who had a gospel group called Cecil Shaw and the Shaw Singers. After dealing with the obstacles of living a poverty stricken life in a single parent home, Herbert began to live the street life, rejected everything instilled in him as a child. Eventually Herbert’s wrong choices landed him in prison with a seven year sentence for selling drugs. While in prison, he gravitated closer to God, remembering his roots from which he was raised. While in prison, Herbert was ordain a minister of the gospel and preached his first sermon. In addition, Hebert began to write gospel music. He is now known locally for his hit single, You Can Get Bumped. While studying in consecration one particular day, Herbert came to the scripture, Matthew 4:19 “And he said unto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Since then, Herbert was addressed as F.O.M (fisher of men) the street preacher. Not only does Herbert preach the word, but he preaches over beats to grasp a hold to the ear of the youth. His motto is, “WE ALL SHOULD BE FISHING, Winning souls for Christ.’ He believes that the church should get back to real ministry, meaning, reaching the lost. The pimp, the hustler, the drug dealer, the prostitute, the homeless, and the people who really need help are who he believes that we should be targeting. He participates in street ministry, prison ministry, Counseling youth, and many other activities. He has dedicated his life to help youth make better choices to be an example not to go down the wrong road. He vows to preach, teach, and to be used by God in any way. H e is always fishing by the way he lives his life through every decision that he makes. Herbert is a walking testimony that Jesus saves and turns lives around. I guess you can call him a man who is sold out to Christ. “We all should be fishing.”
