I DO BELIEVE CHRISTIANS CAN LOSE THEIR SALVATION. I HATE WHEN CHRISTIANS PREACH THAT YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU WANT AND STILL GET INTO HEAVEN. THAT IS TERRIBLE FOR A NEW CHRISTIAN TO HEAR. CAN ANYBODY CHIME IN ON THIS ONE??

I sincerely believe the ‘once saved always saved’ concept to be WRONG!   Matthew 13:20 The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives :it with joy.

21 But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.

So if the scripture talks about  falling away, how can you be always saved. To say that you are always saved is contrary to the Word of God!!!!

There are other verses that support "once saved, always saved".  I'm about to head to church but I'll post them later.  Bottom line is that it is up to God.  It is up to us to live for Christ each day...

if you believe once saved always save then i go farther and say there will be saved people in hell. sin seperates us from God.

On the flipside, saved people sin every day of their lives.  Don't say we don't, because we do.  If we're not secure in our salvation, and we tell a little white lie or covet someone's Corvette, we're guilty of sin and bound for Hell just as much as if we committed adultery or stole 50,000 dollars in an armed robbery.  Sin is sin.  Besides Paul tells us

"If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, hiswork will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it tolight. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test thequality of each man's work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.   (I Corinthians 1: 12-14). 

There are other verses that I can cover.  Bottom line, if we're not secure in our salvation (and I mean a real, honest salvation that comes about by God drawing someone to His Son, and that person honestly accepting Salvation throught Christ, in which that person receives the Holy Spirit and as a result, his life begins to change), then what do we do?  Jesus didn't offer salvation in order for us to spend our lives fearful of it being yanked away if we cross a certain undefinable "sin threshold"...

And don't get me wrong.  I'm not preaching do whatever you want.  Paul addressed that too - Romans 6:1-2 "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?"

Jesus calls us to forsake our sin, but we cannot do that of ourselves.  If the "old man" rears its ugly head as it is wont to do, and we act outside of God's will (sin) and then die instantly afterward, are we then consigned to hell?  Would a just God do that?

Salvation can't be lost, only renounced. There is not one sin that God cannot and will not forgive us for; but If we openly renounce our salvation in unbelief and do not return to God before this life ends, there will be no life after; only eternal death and agony.

being saved is different from receiving the Holy Spirit. not everyone who believes will receive the Holy Spirit. (refer to Acts 19:1) but if you receive this Spirit(which is Gods Spirit) you can not lose it. nor can God send His own Spirit to hell. the question is do you have it?

The problem is that people dont want to live Holy including Leadership when the bible states what  it requires to enter into Heaven!

I dont think once saved always saved in the Bible it says we must take up our cross "Daily" really that speaks for it-self its a everyday thing not just when it is convenient

The Bible teaches “once saved, always saved” -- that we can be saved once and for all only through a repentant, saving faith in Jesus Christ. Once a person has accepted Christ as Savior, they may wonder if it is possible to lose that salvation. What if they commit a sin? What if they commit a lot of sins? What if they do something very, very wrong? Is it possible to be saved, and then lose that salvation? Fortunately, the answer is a resounding “no.” Once a person has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, he/she is forever saved. This fact is referred to as the doctrine of “eternal security,” often summarized as “once saved, always saved.”

A person who willingly, humbly, repents of sin and turns towards the cross, trusting Christ as their Savior, will be saved (Acts 16:31; John 6:37; John 14:6). That salvation is once and for all, eternal, and secure. Those who truly trust in Christ are saved once, and saved always.

There are several key points here that need to be addressed, however, I simply do not have enough time to go through and point out every single scripture that solidifies the fact that "Once saved always saved" is biblical fact, but there are a few things that I can point out quickly. One of the deepest conversations that needs to be considered here is the covenants in the bible. The blood covenants, the salt, the marriage etc. There are several instances in the bible that show 2 or more parties (to include God) entering into covenant. With the blessings of these covenants, there are curses. (Remember when the animals were halved except for the birds and it was stated "What is mine is yours and yours is mine") there was a curse that went with breaking that covenant. The same goes with our heavenly Father. God told us that he will destroy the body to save the soul. Once you are saved, you have no choice. In John 10:28-30, Jesus says: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. (NOT EVEN YOU!)  My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one." The forgiveness of God through Christ is sufficient to cover all of our sins -- past, present, and future. There is nothing a person can do that God cannot forgive. This doctrine is supported by Romans 8:38-39, Ephesians 4:30, and Jude 24, among others
